  • How do I register for the course?
    To register you go to our website https://www.absschoolofrealestate.com/shop Once you Click on Classes, you will see our school schedule posted Choose which class you would like to register for, and continue on with the purchase Digital material and the zoom link will be sent out 2 days prior to the first day of class
  • What do I do after I pass the state test?
    Students must complete a fingerprinting process through IdentoGO
  • How soon after passing the real estate exam must I apply for the issuance of my initial license?
    All applicants must apply for the issuance of their initial license WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF COMPLETING THE REAL ESTATE PRE-LICENSURE COURSE.
  • What if I no longer want to take this course anymore?
    No refunds are allowed, once purchase is made ABS school is not responsible for any refunds.
  • What if I fail my school exam ?
    Every student has three attempts to take their school exam. Should you fail all three attempts you would have to pay and sit through the course again.
  • What format are the courses held?
    In accordance with Governor Murphy’s mandate and our commitment to protecting the health of our community,Signature Realty Academy will not host in-person classes at this time. We will continue to hold online virtual classes. We appreciate your patience as we work through this difficult time.
  • What if I fail the State test?
    You can retake the state test in accordance with the testing centers availability.. If you do not pass the test and hang your license with a broker within the 1 year period, then you must retake the course.
  • What are the qualifications for a Real Estate Salesperson's license?
    To qualify for a Real Estate Salespersons license you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school education or equivalency, complete a 75 hour pre-licensure course at a licensed school and pass the New Jersey examination. After passing the examination, you must apply for a license through a sponsoring Employing Broker within 1 year from the expiration of the school certificate or you must again complete all requirements.
  • When does my registration expire, and how long do I have to take the school and state exams?
    After you finish your class, you will have 30 days to take your school exam. From the date you finish the course, you have one year to complete the state exam. Please make sure to complete both exams within the given time frames to avoid having to retake the course.
  • What if I want to switch daytime and nighttime classes?
    One switch is allowed per student therefore you will need to contact our office 908-272-2888 and we will assist you.
  • Should I take notes?
    You will be given several tests and quizzes throughout the course. The tests in the book help gage your knowledge level and prepare you for the state test and it is recommended that you take advantage of all tests, quizzes, keyword matches etc
  • How do I schedule my school exam once I have completed the course?
    Once you have completed the course and the student is ready to take the exam, send our office an email absschoolinfo@gmail.com between the business hours of Monday- Friday (9am - 5pm) and we will send you the school exam link.
  • Can I give this course as a gift to someone I know ?
    You may give this course as a gift, but make sure the registration has the student full name, phone number, date of birth, and home address.
  • If I have questions or if I need to miss the class for more than a day (vacation, illness, etc, who do I call?"
    First step would always be to email absschoolinfo@gmail.com. Secondly, you can call ABS’s office at 908-272-2888 during business hours of Monday-Friday 9-5pm.
  • Are there any waivers of the education requirements?
    If you are a Broker or Salesperson in another state, a disabled veteran, an attorney, have taken college courses in Real Estate, or have a degree in real estate, you may qualify for an education waiver.   • What if I want to switch course dates to the following month?
    One switch is allowed per student, therefore if you would like to switch to the following month’s course, call our office 908-272-2888 and we will assist you.
  • How do I go about getting a job working for a Real Estate Brokerage?
    Newly licensed agents are independent contractors and may interview to work at any real estate company in the State of NJ. We recommend you interview with Rite Choice Realty.
  • How long is the course?
    This course is Monday - Friday for 3 weeks.
  • What is the process for taking the state exam?
    Once the student has scored 75% or higher on our school exam you may give the school office a call so we can provide you with your course completion documents, fingerprint form and register you online for the state exam through PSI. To register the student on to PSI, we will need you to provide us with your full social security number and address that is stated on your driver license . Students will pick a date and location to sit for the state exam. Students must score a 70% or higher in order to pass the state exam. Students may retake the state exam as many times, as needed, with an additional exam fee each time.
